Well like the title says I'm giving EQ2 a go. I have to say so far, this is alot of fun. I'm only level 16 atm but having a blast with the crafting system and the quests.

Comming from first WOW and then FFXI, which I still play because of friends, I have to say that EQ2 has grabbed me pretty good. I haven't logged in to either game since install.

I have noticed that there are custom UI's for EQ2, but I can never seem to get them to work. so if anyone has any tips there, it would be appreciated. I have read through the install guides and just can't seem to figure it out.

basically all this is a hello post and if you happen to see me running around on the Permafrost server as Langley, say hi so I can pester you all for help with stupid questions...lol.

happy gaming...

Welcome to Norrath!

I don't do custom UI's myself (because I hate having to update them all the time), but I understand there's help for you over at http://www.eq2interface.com/

Howdy. Glad you're enjoying the game and I'd like to extend a personal and hearty "Thank you!" from everyone on Antonia Bayle for not choosing our server. ;)

Make yourself at home. Cookies and drinks are on the table in the back. No sudden moves near Chimpnoodle and don't mind Tamat, he always smells like that.

I don't run a custom UI myself, but the essential one you must get is eq2map. It only changes the map to give points of interest. The rest of the interface is standard

Welcome. I do use both the map - which I would be literally lost without - and a custom UI. I too stopped playing other games when I found EQII three years ago. I really do enjoy this game and I'm glad you like it too.
