Moving from WOW to EQ2, I was suprised to find that mount ownership is not level dependent. If one has the money and status points, you can get a mount at any level. Are there classes in EQ2 that get/ create their own mounts? At what level does this occur? Thanks
Paladins used to get a spell at lvl 20 I believe, but haven't played that class in quite some time. Very slow horse though, compared to the rest.
There are a couple of mounts that are pretty much lvl restricted: the carpet and the wargs. Rinoceros most definitely is too, as that also requires quests to be done before you can talk to the vendor.(wargs and carpets have specific quests before you get one or can buy one)

Paladins and Sks both get a lvl 20 horse. They are both 10% faster than walking and you can buy your respective mount from your trainer. The paladin horse is solid white and the Sk one is solid gray.
