Priest Raiding?Follow

Hey all,

I am new to the game, and in the process of picking a class. I have it down to either a warden, fury, or a mystic. I am wondering what kind of role i could expect in a raid with each of these classes? Also, are priests in eq2 just healbots or do they do other things in a group? Any input would be greatly appriaciated.

Thanks,
FallenGhost

Warden and Fury are same subclass which is Druid. They do more damage (typically) than the other healers because they have more DD and DoT spells, but they have weaker armor: Leather. The mystic wards and has group buffs. Its healz are not as powerful as a Druid's because their focus is damage prevention.

In a raid, one of each healer subclasses are usually present in the MT group because of what each class brings to the table.

The warden is more likely to be in the MT (Main Tank FYI) group because it has excellent group healz. The fury (if a warden is also present in the raid) will usually go in the mage group because of Vim, an INT buff which greatly improves mage damage.

Between Mystic and Defiler (shaman class: wards) if both are present usually the defiler is in the MT group. Not sure why this is, maybe the nice HP buff defilers get for the MT.

Of course this configuration is not always the way a raid is put together. It is just my experience.

Hope this helps.
