Hi all,

A quick question. I have created another character. I want to change jobs with out deleting it. Is there a npc I can talk to for this? I'm on the good side.

"jobs"? You mean Profession? Adventure or Tradeskills?

Assuming you mean professions then you can change it only to the evil/good equivalent.

For example you could become a necro at level 32 by doing the betrayal quest on that mage in your sig. But you cant change from a Summoner to a Tank class.

If you mean trade skills you can change it at nay time now but I believe you start out at level 0 in the new one.

You can reset your tradeskill profession to level 9. you will then be at the point where you choose a class. you will lose any and all books you've scribed past level 9.

as already stated if you are referring to adventuring profession, you can only go within your class from good to evil (or if you're neutral from one to the other) the downside of that is that all your spells and skills are reset to apprentice I.

if you want to change completely to another class (from say... brawler to cleric) you'll need to reroll.

Something else to mention is betrayal is a very long and very... and I Can't stress the very enough.... painful and repetative. I did it with my Froglok Monk and it was awful. It is completely soloable but it involves sneaking around town avoiding lvl 75 epic X4 guards while doing the same tasks over and over again until your faction is high enough. Then you get to do alot more leg work.

Think very carefully if you decide to betray. You might be better off just rolling another toon.

I didn't find betraying THAT painful. I did it at lvl 20 and i was done by 23. I think it took doing the group of quests that gave +5000 faction about 15 times. There were 3-5 different quests that all gave you +5000 faction and seaking around quenos was also really easy.

I actually thought betraying was kinda fun and the dialogue was pretty humorious. And Buddy, poor poor buddy. He didn't stand a chance. =)

The current betrayal quest is a LOT better than the one at launch. I've done them both... a few times.

I'd rather betray with the current system :)

I liked the old one better. I mean you actually got to hunt for exp while you killed 500 gnolls or orcs, and the named was rather simple. The only bad thing was the level limitations you had though.

I played Final Fantasy XI too :) No, there isn't an NPC or Moogle that can change your profession. You have to start an alt to try a new profession. Look at the bright side to this though... no mules :)
