Hiya Stu and all :)
I had a fun evening. Logged on to find a guild group needing a healer...so logged in my Inquisie. We recently have had more than enough healers for our raids, so I took advantage to spec him for a little more DPS. I had a blast running through instances and trying to push his parse (we had 2 healers and a good group, so that made it smooth sailing). It was quite amusing parsing in over 1000 regularly and tearing aggro like mad. Took a noticeable hit to spell/heal cast time and ability, but holy cow...what a melee beast. Fun fun lol.
Things have been good...and busy. Been raiding a lot, and having a blast. Took down a few encounters for the first time with my up and coming crew, always exciting when ya just squeak by. Geared up a bit more on my SK, and upgraded my Dirge a bit too. Worked a bit on my Dirge and Inquisie AAs....still need 23 and 27 respectively for them. I'll be pushing that a bit coming up.
The guild has been going great too. Always expanding....lotsa great new folks, and a few new classes that I had thought were a myth until recently :)
Also had the guildsite revamped (and I like the new board look once ya log in), and am in the middle of a contest for a new splash page for it. Can't wait to see the entries. People were tired of seeing my ugly mug every time they logged in ;)
...as far as why I played my toon. I originally played an Inquis....but when we first formed the guild, we were short a tank. I decided to fill the role and picked an SK (since it seemed to suit my character hehe). Never looked back, I loooved the class from day 1. I eventually ran up my Inquis as the guild needed one...and I enjoy him a lot as well. Later, I ran up a Dirge...as the guild needed one too. He's fun, and convenient....easy to play and multitask on him (call joust, coordinate fights). I enjoy playing him when I feel kinda lazy lol. Those are my 3 mains anyway. My horde of underlings are all a blast too...mostly ones the guild could use, but always ones that appealed to me inately anyway.
