I'm wondering if anyone has found any info on the starting stats and/or the racial traits of the new race Sarnak......

I haven't seen any public info yet; Beta's still closed, so it's probably under the NDA.

Well it calls them a Milliteristic race (i got that word off the top of my head...but its close to what is said) so im guessing they will be strong fighters and scouts heh since it also talks about them being fierce on the battlefield...or close to that

Mhmm...everyone winds up agreeing with me some day! lol we've already gotten two races with good healer/caster starting stats so we are bound to get another tank built one! and yes...i know starting stats are worthless :P

Sarnaks in EQ1 were Evil.
Classes included:
Warrior, Shaman, Wizard, Healer (Inquiz my guess), Shadow Knight, Necromancer and some other variations on nuker (Channeler, Evoker, etc).

If they stay somewhat true to EQ1 then they would be evil with all the Evil/Neutral classes available. They should have both good and evil options for the Kunark starting area though, since Timorous Deep had good and evil outposts in EQ1.

Sarnak in EQ1 were bred from dragon stock and another race ... probably Iksar, but I'm not certain. They were slighter in build than Iksar, and had a narrow, more bird-like head, with several longish protuberances (no idea what you would call them). They were technically evil, but also at war with the Iksar, and you could raise faction with them if you really wanted to, so a case could be made for them allying with either Qeynos or Freeport ... but from the tenor of the pre-quests, it appears they will be neutral, or their very own faction. They seem to be attacking everyone.

All the other races hated my Iksar in EQ1 =p
Except maybe the Kerran. Cats like everyone!

I do remember their faction could be raised to do a few quests out of Chardok.

Any word yet on what classes will be available to play as a Sarnak?

Sarnak should be able to choose from any class that is allowed to Evil characters. So all evil or neutral classes. Soooo...berserker, bruiser, guardian, shadowknight, coercer, necro, warlock, wizard, defiler, fury, inquisitor, warden, assassin, brigand, dirge or trouby.

Dev posted something about them getting inate Melee crit and taunt enhancements. Wonder if they take a stat hit to counter-balance, or don't have the %health options etc..Anyway, just a tidbit.
