The Rise of Kunark pre-order is available! Quoth Grimwell on the Official Forums:

Quote:
"The Rise of Kunark expansion for EverQuest II is now available for pre-order! Can't wait to get your hands on the expansion? Want to see what's inside the box? Now you don't have to wait to see it on the shelves, you can check out the RoK pre-order website and get all the details."

It's worth noting that not only will this include the Rise of Kunark, all previous expansions, and the base game, but the three Adventure Packs, too! And there's the obligatory house pet with a pre-order. Check it out!

Pre-ordered. Perhaps then my adventure packs misery will be fixed.

Not that I've actuall used them much, but there are advantages. Still have to go for the vampire l&l for instance.

I can finally order something from the web. Being in Canada I never wanted to as it would cost about 20% more due to our $ being a lot lower. Now our $ is just a little higher than the US, so I am actually saving money :)

Lucky me

Alas, being annoying and negative isn't against the rules. Up to users to take care of that one.

To be fair, not every post shadowrelm makes is a bad one. Not on other boards anyway.

Figure shortly after Kunark comes out the adventure packs will be used to death for about a month then turn into ghost towns again. I have played around witht he newest one about as much as I can at my current level. First one was kinda meh, seemed like it was just 1 giant timesink for an access quest. Splitpaw was ok, although abit on the dull side (nothing but ugly brown caves).

ok i have a question. it says for the pre-order you get all this special stuff on this link here

http://everquest2.station.sony.com/buyNow.vm

now i am one for the box. i saw at the bottom of the page that ebgames and gamestop were some of my choices. i already pre-ordered it from one of those retailers. the offer for this pre-order, that is for them too or just the digital
download?

I was going to preorder it, but for some reason they expect you to already have an account for it to order it. Which makes no sense to me. I got as far as the account key, which I obviously don't have, so I guess I'll have to wait and pick it up in one of the stores.

You can preorder it at ebgames and gamestop, as noted above.

Huh. I just pre-ordered, and all they asked me for is to sign in with my Station name. Never asked for an account key.

I think you saw something shiny.

nothing negative in my post. just the truth. you might not WANT to admit it, you might not LIKE seeing it, but its still the truth, and not negitive. i just dont paint a rosey "team hurray" post like im a paid for pr man.

the last expansion didnt sell out, and best buy here in miami only had about 20 copies on the day it launched. i didnt pick mine up then, waitied a couple weeks, was on vacation, and they still had atleast 10 copies left.

not negative, just the truth.

not sure why anyone would be hyping up a preorder that will most likely not sell out of retail venues, but, guess someone has to hype it. and it has been my EXPERIENCE, not my NEGATIVITY, that leads me to say, EVRYTIME, other than kunark in EQ1, EVERYTIME EQ1 or EQ2 launches an expansion, i would buy the expansion from a retail venue for my second account, have it loaded, and be crashed an waiting for an emergancy patch to fix by the time my preorder FINALLY showed up in the mail.

burning crusade, however, was sold out for a good month, and i had to fianlly buy it online.

not negativity, just the truth, weather you LIKE to see it or not.

Stacks of that expansion however are still rotting in local shops here.

Alongside Vanguard though, but that's besides the point.

HI there,

Having a little difficulty with the Alla Gamestop coupon and pre-ordering Kunark; the coupon number is not recognized. Should I take this up with Gamestop?

Start with Gamestop; as far as I know our coupons work. Holler back if I need to get one of our people involved.

I tried to ask this earlier but no one has responded with an answer so maybe I didn't ask right. I pre-ordered the expac from a store that it recommended. But will I get the special pre-order items such as the house pet, ect...?

Is that only for the download version pre-order or will it come with the one from the store I pre-ordered from? If not, I will cancel my pre-order and have to give up the box for the digital
download.

#24REDACTED, Posted: Oct 28 2007 at 6:33 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) from what i understand, the retail version will have all the previous expansions, and "mabe" the expansion packs as well, isnt real clear with that point.

I don't know why you think it's unclear:

Quote:
Includes the base game, three adventure packs and all four expansion packs, including Rise of Kunark.

Pre-ordered from Station Store to make sure I get the pre-order goodies. It looks like Amazon are only selling the retail box even though you can 'pre-order' it.

Am I correct in assuming that having bought it via Station Store, it will be automatically added to my account on release? I won't have to register it before starting on the downloads? I am hoping that it will automatically 'background transfer' a lot of the content before the release date.
