Work orders and rush orders?Follow

I have a question/observation about work orders and rush orders.

They seem to be broken up in 3 level groups for each tier, regular, talented, and difficult. It seems to progess as follows:

At level 20(or 30, 40 ect) you get the normal work orders, which always ask you to make level 20 items.

Then you have to get to like 25 or so before you can do the "talented" quests which are 21 and 22 items.

Then you have to get to 29 to do the "difficult" quests which are levels 25, 26, and 27.

So I guess my question/point is. Why do you do level 20 items for 5 levels, then do level 21-22 items for 4 levels, then do level 25-27 items for only 1 level, and NEVER use 23-24, and 28-29 items at all? It seems to me like you CRAWL through the exp doing rush orders, mainly because you have to do the same quest for 4-5 levels and the range is so small you don't get very many "you've made pristine XXX for the first time" bonuses.

Why the hell isn't it like 20-21 is normal quests which you start getting at 21, and 22-24 is "talented" quests, that you start getting at 25, and 25-27 is "difficult" quest that you start getting at like 28, and some new category for 28-29 quests that you get at 29 "master" or some such, that you can do untill 31 or 32. That way each "level" of item would get used, and you'd have a shot of getting more of the "first pristine" bonuses from items while doing the work orders. It just seems poorly laid out the way it is currently.

Just my $0.02 I guess as I frustratingly try to work though the levels.

Because that's the way Dymus designed it? Tradeskill Writ Guide

OK, well I guess I disagree with the design. Sometimes it feels like the people who create this stuff, never use it or listen to those who do :(.

Anywho, related but different question. I know the experience given for writs is being leveled out in Kunark. I was wondering if someone could tell me now where you start to see the major increase in exp for the current system. I'm currently doing Tier 5 sage writs, and the exp isn't that great, but Tier 4 was horrible. In Tier 4 it seemed like the exp for all 6 items + bonus for turning in writ was less then 1 bubble of exp.

So the short question is, when do you start getting these 13% bonuses just for turning in the writ? Am I getting close yet?

Can't help you there, pretty much all my toons are maxed.

For the record, Dymus did talk to craters while he was developing the new writs - I know Niami Denmother and myself both talked to him a LOT when they were in development. The old system was too complex (and a mess in the coding apparently) to have any hope of being maintained as the level cap increased.
