So I checked my mail the other day, to my surprise I got a card from Sony saying they've reactivated my account until November 4th or so.

Sweet, I thought to myself. My PC was a bit laggy before when playing, zoning was horribly long(my friend would often be waiting at the other side for 1 minute for me to appear). I have done some upgrades and wanted to see how it was and also have a change of scenery from Azeroth.

Instructions: "Just simply log in under your sony station name and password, download the patches and start playing!"

Error.
Error.

Please register expansion.

These are the messages I've been getting.

>.< Should I be surprised? I'm kind of frustrated. Nothing on their website regarding any help on this either. I mean do you want a customer back or no? Or was this card just a mean trick sony?

That's unusual. Normally you shouldn't have issues patching except on Update days, which isn't today. As for registering an expansion, you shouldn't be getting that error unless you are trying to zone into an area that is expansion-only...all in all I'd say what you're experiencing is really odd.

I haven't heard of any problems with the winback program, that's very odd. PMing you.

I got the same offer. And mine has worked just fine. Only difference is I didn't download the game from SOE's site, I used my old original disks and let it patch overnight.

My first night playing, I didn't have any of the expansions, but my second night I had another big download, then all the expansions were enabled. Are you sure you've downloaded all there is?

shut off your fire wall, and shut off your power down options so computer doesnt go to sleep.

if you didnt already have the expansions, your looking at a good 12 hour download. do it over night.

I got one of these too, and after a two-year hiatus, decided it was worth another go. I had no problems, and I used the SOE download. It only took about 2 hours to patch, but I selected the background option for the features for which it was available, and I have a really fast cable connection.

I also got this freebee. I still had the game on my HD so it was a reasonable patch and I was ready to go. I logged back in but being back still feels very strange to me...
