i was wondering, being after this weekend a new eq2 player, if its possible to map out the games movement on my 360 controler, i know id still hafta use the mouse and keyboard to type, but it seems like WSAD sucks for me, i cant always control it right, always wabbly. is it possible and if so how? im so used to eqoa and ffxi on ps/x360 i think it would work well for me

I have never used WSAD. I use the mouse for most of my movement. You can always use the arrow keys as well.

I've been in the habit of using the number pad. EQ1 was my first MMO, and by default (back in the olden days) the number pad was used for movement. I still find myself using it still.

I wouldn't suggest attempting to map the movement to a joypad/controller. Similar to WoW, the controls just wouldn't work right.

Currently, I'm using a Nostromo Speedpad and WASD keys for movement.

I was just thinking about my Nostromo... wonder where it is. I used it in EQ1, where I played a raiding bard while I was a nursing Mom.

It's soooo nice after you get used to it... Its one of those bizzare things I bought on a whim. I had originally used it to play WoW, and it just works for MMO interfaces. Map WASD in, map the 4 keys I typically use to f q e r, emergency buttons to z x c, and use the arrow and shift buttons for alt and ctrl combinations to reach the rest of the hotbuttons with ease.
