Anyone doing an EQ2 itemstats for eqdkp or phpbb ?Follow

I'm interesting in itemstats like in WoW, having a pop out little item stats image or something, since I lack of technique and experience I can't provide one.

I know there's an itemstats on EQDKP's forum but it needs to upload the item images by myself, but WoW's itemstats can auto-search on web and write the infos in it's own database.

I'm not familiar with WoW, but you know you can get item stats when you mouse over an item?

Barring that, see what the folks over at EQ2 Interface have.

Edit - just read that again, you're looking to automate item data collection? As far as I know it's not possible in EQ2, closest we have is parsing logs for item codes. Everything in any EQ2 db you see on the web has been collected in game by hand :(

thx for your reply :)

So the item code on Allakhazam is actually the same as in-game item code?

Here's a little example on WoW's itemstats site:
Demo

It can auto-parse the item name and search 5 different website include Allakhazam's WoW database, and then save it in it's own table. When user put their mouse on the item name, it will show the item's stats.

We haven't habitually included item codes in our db. A couple of site catalog them for in-game linking purposes, like http://www.lootdb.com/ and http://www.eq2llinks.com/ and http://www.eq2idb.com/. But that's just a code, you'd still have to get an image from the game. (When we get item links from our logs we take them back into the game with copy-paste for screenshots). EQ2 item codes look like this: \aITEM 1841084142 1041151513:Ring of the Apothecary\/a

But if all you want is a mouseover with stats, it's already built into the game. Make sure you have Tooltips turned on (in UI Options as I recall) and mouseover anything in your inventory, on the broker, or even in a quest journal window, and a tooltip will pop up with a mini version of the item's examine window.

thx again :D

But actually I'm interesting in a project such as WoW's itemstats 1.5.5, which could allow web users (or DKP sites) to "link" an item on the web page as the demo I've posted.

I know Allakhazam's item list provide the same thing, as the pages' original codes have the java onmouse event:

<td><img src="/shared/haspic.gif" height="9" width="7" alt="pic" /> <a class="" onmouseover="showstats(event, 'i14979');" onmouseout="clearstats('i14979');" href="/db/item.html?eq2item=14979">A Lucan Mask</a></td>

but I don't know where the item ID here 14979 comes from, and how it has been parsed, or someone could just write a parser to search the item list and then hack the 14979 back to show the same pop-out stats on their own web sites.

Anyway, sorry about my poor English, hehe ~ and thank you :)
