Inquisitor assistance sought please!Follow

I have a 70 Warden, a 64 Fury and a 24 Ranger but thought Id try out Inquisitor and see how I fared. Am finding it far too sophisticated/slow/challenging/dull (am trying to be kind) compared to my other characters all of whom I love to play - at level 15 I'm a bit gutted to delete this girl - can some Inquisitor instill me with a bit of affection for this character? (like teach me how to play it properly!) Its taking forEVER to kill anything (even longer than my Warden that I used to complain about but never will again) and come to think of it I've not seen many of them out there so perhaps there's a reason for that - they're too hard?!

Clerics are hard to level up solo. We kill sloooooooooow. Not the slowest of the priest classes, but darn near.

That being said, stick with it. Cause when you get to be a higher level Inq you are hell on wheels. We hit like mack trucks when we get all our dps buffs. Add to that some of the other groovy spells...

You will end up with three debuffs that are damage procs. You cast, they use CA's, they take damage.

You also get the inquest line of spells that feeds you mana when you (or someone else) smacks the mob.

You'll boost the dps of any melee dps'ers you have in your group. We've very popular for dps/off tank groups in raids.

Templars DO have more healing power, but we're more useful overall.

Inqs are harder to play and a little more complicated, but they're worth it. I love my character as an Inq more than I ever did as a Templar.

Hey thanks a lot - I will stick with it and try and group with her as much as I can - Im mainly a solo player on my characters, and so was relieved to get back to a bit of old fashioned quick (certainly comparatively!) killing on the Fury and Ranger after playing this girl. Even the Warden seemed to me to have more outright damage spells than the Inq! All this "softening up" the mob that an Inq appears to do is outside my norm (Im a bit of a bash em and smack em type of girl) - so I need to pay attention and really get to grips with what an Inquisitor does - and be more sociable:) Thanks for the advice.

Not only Level....I found it was AAs that made the biggest difference. I went with the Battle Cleric line EoF....and STA/INT in Kos. Took quite a few AAs before things really came together.

Once you have got your Battle Cleric line final (if you go that way), 100% Melee crits, ~15% casting speed increase, Some spell Crits as you push to the Divine Recovery cast speed/recovery boost.....mobs start droppign fast. Your DPS skyrockets as well, especially if you get yourself a slow speed/high dammage spread wep to enhance your crits.

For a test, last week I specc'd out of casting speed/Divine recovery.....and went with the 32% double attack on top of the 100% Melee crits, couple with Yaulp (another ~20% double attack and other offensive bonuses) and Fanatacism running...it was insane. Heals definitely suffered though and I miss the DR for tough moments.

Very effective for soloing though.
