do the city writs. you gain status points and your guild will get 10% as well.
you can get the writs from the Qeynos Guard (castle in NQ), the Concordium (mage tower in SQ), Tunarian Alliance (Elddar Grove) and ... I have completely forgotten the Priest faction, but they're in NQ (the temple)

also, as you adventure, you'll come across items that you can turn in for SP, and your guild gets a portion of that...

NOTE: I believe some changes were made recently to the SP system, so I don't know if all these will work or not, but I believe they should.

good luck!

Yea unless your guild is low level you can pretty much forget about the dropped status items thanks to the last patches nerf. Far as writs goes there is four places in each city you can get them from. They are the Warrior, Scout, Mage, Priest guilds. Every 5 levels you can get new quests which give more more status as well as more challenge. From my exp Usually the even levels (10, 20, 30, etc) seem to have more soloable quests. For instance at lvl 20 in qeynos you can get a writ to do things like kill soloable crabs, snakes, etc in Thunder Steppes as where at 25 you have to kill mobs in Varsoons or Crypt of Decay. When you hit 30 they go back to solo mobs in Zek.

Yeah, a pretty bad move imo, but they restricted the guild status that you can get from the items. It's now linked to the guild level as well as the item itself.

Say you are part of a lvl 50 guild, then only the equivalent item will give the guild status alongside the personal status.

Mind you, the personal status is the same, it's only the amount of status a guild receives that has changed.

In addition to the City Writ...you can do the crafting writs. Pick up the crafting writs in any of the crafting halls...you'll see two npc's with quest feathers over their heads and they will give you the writs.

One is a standard crafting writ, the other is a rush order with a time limit to complete. Pick up the writ...find the work order on the work bench, and then get to making the requested items. If you're new to crafting you may want to wait on the rush orders until after you figure out your tradeskill.

In either case you will need to finish the requested items at pristine quality in order to get credit...and that can be difficult with a timer ticking away...start with the standard crafting writs.

You will not be able to keep any of the completed items but you will get paid for your services (just about enough to cover your costs for crafting said items) and you will receive status points that count for the guild.

And of course, once you've levelled up a bit you can start doing Heritage Quests. These take a long time to do and in most cases will require a group for certain parts. They do however give many times the status of writs, and if you complete them at the right level give pretty good & useful rewards too.

A note on crafting writs: the timed writs are not that difficult if you organise yourself & make sure you have plenty of raw material & fuel before you start. You will get your fuel costs back and the items you craft will automatically disappear from your inventory. You will get some additional cash for completing the writ, some status, and a reasonable bit of crafting xp. In other words, they are well worth doing, especially if you need to grind up a few levels.

Edit: And yes, the nerf to the status loot blows big time!
