I'm sure it's in this forum somewhere but I decided to not look so nyah! nyah!

But how do I start a secondary tradeskill, transmuting in particular. And where do i get transmuting from and where can i train it at?

Thanks!

ooo says they sell enigma books. Do they sell all the different tradesman ones, or just transmuting? I'm only level 11 guardian (but level 16 outfitter, I have my adventure xp locked till i gain a number of AA points (playing on a pvp server (VoX))). But do they sell the outfitter or weapon/armorer crafting enigma books?

If it's any consolation I've been doing laundry and weatherizing my windows. I'm a stay-home mom and I only get about two hours of play time a day, lol.

I didnt make it to butcherblock last night, having to much fun with the couple hours I had to play just crafting :-) got to level 20 armorer. I need to work on my guardian level sometime since its only 11 but i really do like to craft in eq2, im not sure what it is that does it, I think its because its so much more difficult to script it or macro it that it will feel good to be one of the ones that did it all own my own. It takes quite a bit more patience than any other crafting system ive seen.

So hopefully tonight i will try to get to butcherblock, is it a safe trip? is there anything that can kill me on the way or anyone? (i am on a pvp server)

Where are you travelling from, and do you have the DOF expansion? If you do, take the carpet to Sinking Sands and that carpet to Butcherblock.

Otherwise catch a boat to Nek forest or Thundering Steppes, where you can catch a boat to Burcherblock (The Butcherblock boat is not a bell, wait and the end of the dock and one will show up).

I'm going from qeynos, so if i go to thundering steppes and wait on the docks I can make it easily? I've never been to thundering steppes though so no really sure just how well I will be able to make it through. And how much money is it to train?

It's easy. See the Harbormaster in Qeynos Harbor, the ticket to TS costs 60s. Take the Journey By Sea bell. You'll end up on the TS docks, walk to the end of the dock (There's another harbormaster who will tell you where the boat is atm) and wait. Get on the boat when it shows up, ride it right to the BM dock. Zero agro.

If you're on a budget, taking the carpet is free :)

I can't recall the expense; the training is free, the four Arts have a small expense, as do the regular enigma books. It wasn't horribly expensive.

Doesnt sound to difficult at all, maybe if when I make it home today and I have any energy left I will get to find out :-P I'm thinking I will walk though, don't you get AA XP for walking through new areas?

Yes, discovering an area the first time gives AA & XP. As I recall it's 20+ zones in the Olde World and level 10+ zones in Faydwer.

I dont want to.. but I will go back.. allll the way back, it was horrible, I didnt bring enough money with me the first time i went and had to go all the way back to qeynos to get money and then all the way back again, and on the long boat ride (my computer really needs an upgrade) my computer took forever to zone and by the time it did i was already past the dock and going back into the zoning where i came from again :-( But I will make it back again, grr.. and bring about 10 gold with me again, if i cant find them i will buy a couple more trans books, (i bought the first 5 when i was there so i wouldnt have to go back for awhile).

I am a sage but I assume that this could work as an alchemist too. I am a 100 Transmuter. I found that for lvl 10-19 adept III components it is usually around 5g and what you get for the transmuted breakdown is powder (common) and infusion (rare). These usually sell for 7-10g. I'm sure you see where i'm going here. It's not the quickest way to make money, but at 3-5g per shot, not counting the rare occasion that you make both, that's not a bad chunk of change in the long run. Double your money every 1.5 times.

Transmuting Adept III books is the best way to skill up from 1-100 skill if you are a sage, you almost always get more back for selling the powders then you spend on the rare gem (for healer spells). After that it can be a good source of supplemental cash if people buy a lot of powders on your server. At least its something my character can do without leaving town. I'm only level 35 with my main, but i'm a level 80 sage :).

I suppose if you are level 80 (adventure level) you can make more cache farming tier 6, 7, and 8 mats depending on whats in hot demand on any given day. You know so that silly crafters like me who can't buy their own have to buy yours on the broker :).
