I have heard people using VENT. I know a bit about it but everytime I ask someone how to use it I get a dumb answer so if someone could help me out in here that would be great. How does it work and how do I go aabout using it?

"Vent" is an abbreviation of "Ventrilo", an IP voice software application. It's pretty simple to get setup and use. Install the client which can be downloaded from ventrilo.com. Set it up to use the sound device that your headset/microphone are hooked into. Then, just point it at the Ventrilo server that the guild or raiding group or what have you that you want to talk with has setup and you are ready to go.
I highly recommend, btw, to set a key-press to activate the microphone, as voice activation can lead to accidental exclamations being transmitted unintentionally. :)
