according to Grimwell here http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=376211

All brokers on all servers only require logging in once a week again.

Well, that blows.

That shows how much I've been paying attention. I thought it has always been once-per week to stay up on the broker.

No; if you recall, shortly after they went one week they had to change about half the servers to two days because the broker was lagging the server out.

Heh. You even responded to my post on it...

See, I don't pay attention /and/ I need more sleep. So hopefully the broker-lag is a dead issue now.

Once upon a time not too long ago, you could only have one toon on the broker at a time and you had to log them in every 24 hours to keep them listed.

They changed it a few updates ago to unlimited toons and a 7 day login. The problem was those giant broker searches were slogging the servers out, so on about half the servers they changed it to a two-day login.

They apparently resolved the issues and we're back to all your toons can be listed, and must be logged in once every 7 days to stay listed.

The 24-hour limit was a real pain when you went on vacation, so one week is much better.

But there's a downside for those who suffer from competition! I've had someone flood the market with too-low prices, so I keep my prices up at what I think is reasonable. Then, if that person didn't get logged in one day, then I would have some sales sneak through. That's nearly impossible now! :(

I thought I would appreciate having multiple toons selling, too, but it turns out I don't use the feature. It's the same problem as before - you don't want your high-level adventuring toons to be selling, because you don't want to have to come back to town all the time to check your sales. I still use my low-level "selling" toon for all sales, since he has the mansion with the six selling slots! :) And he never leaves town anyway!

Maybe when I get my veteran's display cases (about the time RoK comes out! :) ), then it will make more sense to sell from multiple toons. As I understand, you can get one veterans case for each toon on the account, but since only one could sell at a time (before), the others were wasted!

To me the multiple toons is a matter of convenience. I'm not a big fan of twinking and prefer that all of my toons "fend for themselves" so to speak. When I do travel back to town it's nice for a given character to be able to simply toss any valuables in the selling slots and punch out, instead of the old way of having to share-bank it and switch toons to sell (assuming it wasn't lore which opens up a whole new can of worms) and then having to transfer cash or goods between the toons when a non-seller needed something. This way, everyone earns their own cash and buys their own stuff. Nice and tidy.
