Slowing down guild status advancement even more?

Sure, I like all the other parts of the update (although I'm still going to have to check the weapons change, not sure if that's really an improvement for my dual wielding monk), but not getting any guild status when I sell the lower lvl items is not making me any happyier.

It's already harder than it used to be. Although still not even nearly as hard as the beginning naturally.

The Good:
Bristlebane
Raid-wide buffs for fighters
Improvements to Doom Judgement
Dual-wield changes

The Bad:
Slowing down guild advancement
Needing Bloodlines to acquire the Vampire Master Strike

The Ugly:
Kids who will now think that they are hilarious by having their ogre guardians tank in a dress. o_0

I only had a chance to briefly try the dual-wield changes (27 Swashy). Both my equiped formerly dual-wielders were now labeled one-handers and both were still in their respective slots. Here's where I'm a bit confused- are there now weapons out there officially labeled as "Main Hand" and "Off Hand"? Does having two "One Hand" in both slots have any effect, negative or positive? Must I trade in my old dual-wielders for weapons now labled Main/Off Hand?

Thanks for any answers.

One-Hand can be used in either hand if you're a class that can do that. Main Hand and Off Hand are specifically designated. If you are DW-ing there's a delay change.

Good question, all DW weapons have been given a boost to damage as far as I can tell, but if you use them as DW you do get a delay of 33% extra. Not sure if this will cancel out the advantage of the boost.

It does give us more options I think, going to check the brokers next time I'm online.

The nerf done to guild advancement was really not needed. I mean its sad that the tier 5 status items can't do anything to help level our guild (its level 54 ATM). Lower level toons really get screwed on this deal as status items was a good way for them to contribute to guild leveling. Its not like guild leveling wasn't all ready a painfully slow process as it stands.

Give SOE credit for one thing though. AT least they was honest this time and actually told us they was going to nerf something. Usually they just sneak nerfs in without actually telling anybody.

I think the icon changes to harvestables will be a good thing after I learn the new icons. I know it was a pain trying to tell them apart in the past.

Eh, the nerf to dropped status items was done because the last two expansions several guilds hit max within, and I'm not exaggerating one little bit, an hour of launch. While calling it an exploit might be debatable, it was obviously not intended and has been fixed.

Oh, while I'm thinking about it...

Our wonderful devs here have changed all the former DW tags to 1H. Also, all the 1H should read as equipable in both Primary and Secondary.

So what we're looking for is items whose stats have changed (some DW and most 2H) and the odd items tagged Main Hand and Off Hand instead of One Hand. Pop a screenshot :) If you're not sure and you're disinclined to look it up yourself, send it anyway, because we occasionally trip across the odd item that still has pre-LU-24 info in the db.

I'd rather have too many submissions that weren't necessarily needed than gaping holes in the data, lol.

Oh, you could send item codes if you like, I can work with that. The submission address goes to Tamat atm, but if you fear you're flooding him with data you can send it to me too, calthine@allakhazam.com

I spoke too soon, they did sneak a hidden nerf in. You know how some quests involve examining a object? Instead of an instant click that didn't drop invis it now goes through a harvesting process which drops invis. It only takes about 5 seconds (same amount of time it takes to harvest something), but that is more then enough time for a mob to agress you. So yea to anybody who uses Invis (like me) that is a pretty big nerf actually. I hate patch day. Every time they take something away from us.

there's actually both kinds of getting an object. Some stuff you still right click and examine. Other stuff you have to acquire instead of examine and those have been either "collecting" or some form of harvesting since at least the launch of EOF.

Today everything was giving me the gathering process. For example the totems in Feerott that give you those quests. Before you would just click them and inspect to get a quest. Now it goes through that harvesting process breaking invis. I also was doing that newb quest in caves with an alt that involves clicking on objects to destroy them. Before it was click and you was done, now once again it starts that harvesting process to do it.

well, if you rad the update notes, it said, buried in amongst everything else:
Quote:
There is now a 2-second usage delay for using most widgets in the world (i.e. quest widgets).

it was there, just buried in all the other information.
