Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.
<verify> D:\live\eq2\framework\core\devices\src\DirectX9RenderDevice.cpp (1025): Failed to create D3D device for RADEON X800 PRO/GTO.
This translates roughly to, "I can't play EQ2 until I figure out how to make the Catalyst 7.9 ATI drivers work with it or SOE decides to support it".
Sighed mightily and played Quake Wars: Enemy Territory for several hours. Shooting Strogg troops in the back of the head does wonders to relieve NWSS (Norrathian-Withdrawal Stress Syndrome).

Well, actually didn't play the game at all last night, had company until too late and was worn out from work so just went to bed.
Well, I started off the evening playing Eve Online, they had a server issue so I decided to finish off my level in Steamfont.
Hit level 44 last night and I think my 23rd AA, can't remember though. 3 more levels and i can use my new master Charm =) Can't wait to use it.
Finished playing EQ2 and checked on Eve Online and it was back up so i played that for a while, then went to bed.

I didn't get too much done last night, just did a couple of writs in the Crypt of Betrayal. I'm starting to hate that place due to several embarrassing deaths (looking at you, Archaic Fury - stop spawning next to me while I'm fighting!).
I'm still hoping for an LoN card drop, just because I want to see it happen, but nothing so far. :( Did get 3 Adept drops in about 10 minutes, though.

Master charm will change how you play. It's Good Stuff (tm).
Hmm..I'm using an X800 series Radeon also Stu, never seen that error before. Were you playing, and it happened out of the blue, or is it a new card and it gave you that error from the get-go?
My night was very good...my toothache has subsided (yes yes, I still need to see a dentist).
Spent the first part of my night getting a few more SoD statue updates on Filmore....then ran a few instances back to back with a great guild group, and helping more of them complete their MOA trials before we run through trial 4 again next week. Had some good luck on the drops as well over the evening. Ended up things by ordering a few spell upgrades on my dirge.

Betraying to Kelethin with my monk, already got one AA out of it. Which brings me at a grand total of 63. I might head back to Qeynos after that, or not, Kelethin isn't all bad and the writs in Loping Plains get 9000 status, which is better than the similar Qeynos ones.

I think I've got it licked; I deleted the entire Pak directory again and let it repatch with GU 38. Cross your fingers.
The drawback is I didn't get the Bristlebane quests done before they went live, lol. The Live patcher kept stopping the download while I was on the Test server.
