You always take advantage of Tuesday mornings, don'tcha? ;)

Took the family out to eat then parked my *** in front of the television for some Monday Night Football.

In lieu of an in-game update, a discussion question for the class:

What do you think of the new appearance slots that are coming with LU #38?

I personally won't use them myself. I like showing exactly what I have and I like being able to recognize what other people are wearing just by looking at them. I am hoping that showing the appearance slots is toggleable on a per-person basis like the SOGA models or the "Render Cloaks" options. I'm also hoping that they reverse the recent change of allowing people to put anything usable by their class in the appearance slots. There should be a restriction forcing the appearance slot to have an equal armor type to the actual armor slot (if you have chain in your chest slot, you can have chain only in your chest appearance slot, if you have plate then plate and so on). As it stands we're going to have a bunch of kids who think that they're hilarious by tanking in a dress or some other such nonsense and "lol" in level chat about how clever they are. Ugh. But then again, as I mentioned in IRC yesterday, I hated armor dyes too so maybe I'm just a curmudgeon.

I love it. I can't wait until it happens. Im tired of wearing a blue leather top with lime green pants and silver boots for the stats when all I want to do is wear my gi.

Went and did the raid Klackanon last night for the first time in months. We didn't finish it and my youngest decided to have a fit so I had to leave early. But I enjoyed it immensely despite getting pwned.

Oh yeah, our guild dinged 60 the other day. Yay!!!

I thought I heard that there *will* be an armor type restriction...plate fullf for plate etc. Maybe it was just wishful thinking, or heresay, but I heard that this is the way it will be.

I don't really care about the new slots either actually, but I know many who will be thrilled. I'm happy with my armor looks, even if the odd piece doesn't match perfectly on a couple toons. No biggie...maybe I'll use em, maybe not. We'll see. Not game making or breaking anyway.

Last night was good and bad for me. Had a terrible toothache, so that was real bad :(

Also postponed an MOA 4 raid 'till next week since a handful of guildies didn't get to the final update in time, and I don't feel like running that one twice in the next week.

Besides that, things were great. Gained 1 level on my Dirge and hit 69. Got to equip some shiny new gear, and scored a couple AdeptIIIs for him as well. Ran through a few instances, got a few more SoD statue updates...and helped a couple guildies finish the crazed Gnome HQ.

PS Mistress DSD. If you need any help for the CWM raid let me know. What part gave you trouble? There area few "tricks" in there...if I know what gave you trouble, could probably give you a solution.

Was glad in the end that I wasn't raiding anyway last night. With the raging toothache and accompanying headache...woulda been hell.

We've chatted about this briefly in IRC yesterday, Stug. I agree with you that these slots are inevitably going to be abused by the kiddies. Nothing has really irked me more than seeing a troll run around in a Santa hat. So, I can only imagine the ghastly outfits that peeps with far too much plat in their pocket are going to come up with. Will be like halloween everyday of the year.

Now, as a RP'r.. I'm really looking forward to this as well. My Ratonga is a successful harvester & merchant by trade. My class however is Brigand so in order to stand a chance out there in the wilds against mobs and ganks (on a PvP server) I'm forced to drape myself in gaudy looking MC chain armor.

Its a double edged sword I suppose. On the other hand, if I see on Q out there in a dress its only going to motivate me more to attack him/her on sight. ^^

As for my day.. I went in to Chase to pick up my new employee package and fill out I-9 information. Today I get to go take my **** test and hope I pass. (Had a brief failure of ethics a few weeks back at a party) Then I'm off to work this afternoon and break the news to my boss at my current **** job that I'm done as of Saturday. He's spiteful Italian man and isn't going to take the news well so should be an interesting evening. XD

There was, latest report is it was removed.

I got a little obsessive on updates yesterday. Of course, I'm still having the mystery patch issue on Live (same vpaks, too) and spent 3.5 hours downloading stuff I already had. I think I'm going to separate Live and Test, move Test to my secondary drive with Beta and see if that helps.

Anyway, so I got in the new Artisan quest from Test, and a buncha other stuffs.

Appearances never bothered me that much, sure some kids might want to enjoy themselves (usually making them look like fools) but other than that it's just another moneysink I suppose.

Guild uniforms might become a bigger hit I guess, we've got or own for crafting at this moment but as I never craft, I never quite wear it.

Gratz! After lvl 50, levelling the guild is pretty rough. Takes forever.

(Posting to yesterday's thread, 'cos don't want Stu getting upset. Lunch time here, you are only just opening your eyes there)

I'm quite looking forward to the appearance slots. It will finally give some use to the status gear. IMO status gear looks good, but the stats are useless.

Spent some time last night round TT grouped with a guildie Conjurer. Lost count of the number of deaths, especially trying to find draconic bones & eggs. It was add-manic. Eventually ended up in the first room of SOS - my first time there. I'm looking forward to exploring a bit further, but will take a healer along next time. Over the night I spent about 10g on repairs, but at least I had made just under 2p on sales before I went out.
