I am new to the game but want to experience all I can. How can one craft at a master level. For example, Master I or II spell scibing. My character is level 20 scribe and I'm sure will have to advance greatly to do it, but it's good to know.

I also run into books with ingredients created through transmutation. What is this and how can I learn it? Thanks.

Sorry, we can't craft Master spells. Master I are dropped, usually by raid or group mobs; Master II are only available through class specialization, which will happen automatically once every 10 levels or so (see Master II Specialization). The highest that can be crafted are Adept III (which are usually just dandy for most purposes; if you group or raid a lot you'll get the Master upgrades you need or can afford to buy them).

I guess adept spells are obtained from drops and the auction house. What is the big difference between apprentice and adept? Is it the speed or power of the spell? Thanks.

Apprentice spells are crafted (except the one you get automatically when you first get the spell)
Adept I are dropped
Adept III are crafted
Master I are dropped
Master II are specialized

Apprentice I is the wimpiest level of spell; Master II is the bestest.
