Did you grab the new arts you got at level 10? You get new Arts at 10, 20, 30, 40 51, and 61. You really must use white-con arts to get regular skillups (you can get them on grey arts, but they are few and far between).

Try this guide: http://eq2.allakhazam.com/db/guides.html?guide=909

Also it is advisable to every few levels just use your white con arts on a cheap recipe over and over until you catch up with your skill as scholar's get so many recipe's they advance in level way quicker than their skill up's take place.

Agreed, personally when I am leveling a new crafter I always add one or two of the newest arts to my selection on my hotbar to keep my skill up. Then, when I am lv 70 I go back and pick the best of each type for my prefered style.

I do this because while leveling I do writs, writs and more writs and with the addition of TS exp to each writ (especially considering it doesn't draw down your vitality pool), now all crafter types have the benefit of having runaway level compared to skill level that used to be only a "perk" of scholars.

I don't understand.

When I lvl, I do all the recipies in the lvl I just achieved. I do them all prist so that I get the extra exp.

Are you saying that I would be better off doing writs?

Also, what do you mean by "I always add one or two of the newest arts to my selection on my hotbar to keep my skill up"?

Thanks

You get new Arts every Tier - check your Knowledge Book. You need to use some white-con (newer) arts to ensure regular skillups.

Writs do help the leveling process because they give extra XP. Next time you run out of Pristine Discoveries, try doing a writ :)

Ahhh okay that is what I do. I use a UI mod that has all the skills in it, so I don't have to add anything...sorry about that.

Thanks
