How do we stop the Necro mage's pet AOEFollow

As a necro, I like the mage pet in groups since it does a lot of damage and isn't near the mob in order to help avoid aoe problems. However, it does cast AOEs which cause a lotof problems for our mezzers . Is there anyway to turn off the AOEs of the mage pets?

no matter what the pet casts random spells in random order. there is no way to omiot a spell from the spell list of your mage pet. I believe that the AoE problem has been fixed with mezzers though.
