Returning to game for 3rd time...Need some adviceFollow

Ive played EQ2 on and off for about 1 1/2 years, and have never gotten above level 40. I do fine until that level, then I seem to run out of groups. Ive played a Inquisitor to lvl 42, gotten a wizard to lvl 36, and a brigand to 32. Each of these characters was played fairly regularly for around 2 months, then I just ran out of people to lvl with. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what server I should go to? Im looking for some consistent levelling partners. I absolutely hate soloing. Does anyone know a good server to find that on, or better yet, a good guild that I could join that would help me lvl? Ive joined guilds that have said that same thing, but when I would ask for groups or partners, no one would help. I am definitely interested in raiding, so if a guild would be willing to help me get up to 70 in exchange for a regular raider...lets just say that would be optimal...: D

Sorry for the brief life history, and any advice will be appreciated.

I'd recommend the Antonia Bayle server. It is a role playing server and it has a solid community spanning all levels.

I know how the 40ish rut feels too. I ran into it with my first toon... ended up taking a 5 month break before coming back refreshed and ready to ding 70. And I know what you mean about soloing... I LOATHE it. I don't pay $30 a month for Station Access so I can play with myself... I can do that for free. What I find helps while I'm LFG is tradeskilling and banging out writs. Periodically I'll solo some quests for AA but I'd much prefer to get into a quest group and just hammer out as many as I can while we grind.

This is something you will always run into at some level. It has gotten better though if you are in a large guild. If in a large guild you can normally get someone to mentor you if you are not trying to level on a raiding night. Currently I play on the Bazaar. Of course that server all depends on if you mind real money being involved. Currently I havent invested or sold anything but money doesnt seme to effect the economy. Lets face it, it is present on all servers. Just condoned on some. I dont agree with it but if it is going to happen I am at least going to get the money when I quit for all the time I put in when I sell my chars.

I am in your situation at the moment, just hit 40 on my coercer and my guild for some reason just doesn't seem to want to group up. I am on the AB server and I have been trying to use the level 40 channel to get groups and well, I have limited play time due to Real Life, bad thing, and have about hour and half to 2 hours a night to play.

I can tell you I am looking for a larger guild that supports the lower levels and the upper levels that is on an east coast time zone.
