There are no physical cards. At launch if I recall right everyone in EQ and EQ2 will get a deck. The client will be accessible in game with plans for a stand-alone client later.

You will be able to purchase booster packs and trade cards in the client. There will be drops in game (chest loot in EQ2, on its own loot table) which you can redeem in the client for packs. Rare cards will have a /claim code for in-game items.

The game is totally optional and will not cost you anything unless you want to buy more cards.

hummm sounds like another electronic card game SOE hosted for a while. Then gave up on and I was out all the cards I had cause all my electronic media was for shxx. Ah well, I'm not getting too excited at all; fool me once... (and all that) I really did like the 'idea' of that other game. Corporate domination wars.

Would be nice if we could use in-game money ot purchase the game and booster packs.

Technically you can. According to their website, the thingie that drops in game that's redeemable for booster packs in the LoN client is tradable on the broker.

b) you can enter the LoN client, redeem your drop and see if you got a game item or not, and get out.
