I have set all lighting in game display to max and brighness on monitor to 100%. Sadly, being a human, gives me poor night visibility. Is there a potion, or charm item or any item that significant improves night vision for the character in game?

A torch. Purchased from nearly every general goods vendor.

There's also an HQ item, the Light Stone (i think) gotten from a quest chain in the common lands around level 25 (maybe earlier) that gives you a necklace that gives off a nice glow.

granted, both these options only increase visibility around the wearer. I'm not sure if there is a way to increase your whole field of vision.

There may be a way to increase the in-game gamma via enhanced video card drivers and/or third party freeware. I bet theres a simple fix - try the SOE EQ2 official tech forums.

As a barbarian, I feel your pain.

I recommend using this UI. It has a single-button toggleable "nightvision" setting that increases the gamma far beyond what is possible using the settings. Makes everything all bright and easily seen.

Good luck!

Seriously, it's awesome.

Oh, and DSD, your avvy scared me. A quick glance out of the corner of my eye and it appeared to read: "Official Kile Inspector".

And yeah, my name is Kile so I thought I had a stalker. The best stalker ever.
