When the great SoE Nerf Bat comes to the plate?

As we all know, SoE likes to make things easier over time for the new people in the game. Do they do it to attract new peoples? Do they do it to help out with your Alts?


Another question:

Why raid tier 7 Fabled stuff when Tier 8 treasured will be better? I have no proof that this will be true but you get the point.

The only thing that really gets my goat is saving up to buy mastercrafted armor. And then ten levels later selling it to a vendor for chump change. There should be a way for you to melt it back down to a rare and then do a "trade in" for a newer model!

I'm usually more angered by the lack of forethought given to certain nerfs than the meat of the changes themselves.

Did you know that as of GU #37 that we Shadowknights are now the only fighter that can't buff their primary power stat? Yeah.

That stinks Stugein....

I did read that Pallys can only buff wisdom now on one ability. The Strength part was removed. It was a group buff that I had just upgraded finally to an Adept III.

Sk's def got it rough. I don't really know what SOE gripe was from them.

And wizzy got their manaburn ratio reduced from 5:1 to 4:1 damage/mana point.

That effectivly lowers my damage from aprox 50000 DD to 40000 DD. And before you all start flaming me for complaining about the highest damage hit in the game, keep in mind that when using this we WILL pull agro so it has to be saved for the last hit.

In the mean time preditors and bucineers are dishing out the same dps with zero argo issues (or close to zero) because of hate transfer. But no, nerf the wizzy dps and leave the scouts alone... fantastic.

Close. Pallys can still self-buff STR, it has just been moved to another buff. SKs lost their STR buff entirely and it was replaced with +[insert trivial amount] of spell damage.

Additionally the change to Reaver has resulted in a ~40% decrease in my ability to self-heal.

I'm feeling really bitter and gypped right now. As far as game mechanics go GU #37 was a nice update, but as an SK I feel like I've been kicked in the junk. I've essentially had my solo effectiveness and group tank effectiveness lowered by a good amount and in exchange I can now be a minor buff-bot for mages? Yippee.

I really hate it when they sneak a nerf in. I mean you see all the changes that people will generally like posted in the update, however they don't like to mention the nerfs they make.

I have complained ever since they started attuning gear in the game about the sell back price. For those who don't know Attuning was not required when the game first came out. That was a change done a few months after the game went live. I can see the need for attuning gear as it keeps common items still somewhat useful to sell. I just think the merchants should pay you quite abit more when you go to sell a mastercrafted item to them. I mean you pay 50 gold for a item and the vendor gives you 10 silver for it. IT wouldn't be so bad if the item lasted more then 10 levels, but it generally does not. This is the reason I hardly ever buy anything above treasured pre level 30ish.

Really though over the years I have overall liked the changes they have made. I was glad to see them drop the access quests to pretty much every zone past Tier 3. I mean those was a real pain as well as a bottleneck for grouping. They wouldn't have been so bad if they was solo, but they was pretty much heroic mobs all the way through. Quite a few quests that used to require a group can now be soloed due to mob changes, and Mage pets are alot better then when the game first came out as well. The griffons are a nice addition to the Tier 3 zones as well.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Scouts got nerfed hard core. Raiding is a little more difficutl now. We ahve scouts that can average 2K zone wide DPS that are having to drop down to 1.25k DPs because their agro trasnfer was cut in half.

But SK's got boned, end of story.

Burst my bubble, HA. This the best news i've heard all day.

Guess i should have done some looking to scout nerfage, but they've long been so capable of spryly dodging the nerf bat i just assumed.

"Well, you know what happens when you assume... it make an "***" of you "u" and "me"... arrrggggghhhhh"

/sorry, had to stop that assface out. I hate that bit.
