Good morning, AllaK's - 7/30/07Follow

Good morning, happy campers.

Long weekend. Sore from carpentry. This clubhouse is going to rock. Kids are going to be so surprised.

Kept my solo tweaking up. Managed to solo Nest up to the Kettleleader, but he had my number. Cleared Poet's Palace. Got an AA during the Poet's clearing.

Joined a Halls of Fate group and cleared that. Advanced the Transmogrification quest. Now I just have to do it again without killing all the nameds so that I can finish the whole transmogrification/usurp the doom lord quest line and be done with it.

Solo'd a bit on my defiler. Nothing special.

How was your weekend?

I played around with just about every class in the trial. Still sort of debating what I want to play, and struggling with the choice between a dirge or a swashbuckler. I like the dirge because of it's desireability for groups and raids, but I like the swashy for it's soloability and pure sexiness. I'd keep one of each, but I'm really wanting to avoid the alt plague that has hindered me in so many other games in the past.

Any input?

And I'll be upgrading to the full game today, hopefully after purchasing the boxed version of EoF, but I may just have to download it if I can't get off this farm and into town.

Got about 6 AA's this weekend from exploring way down in SoS, Palace of the awakened, and Halls of Fate. Advanced claymore and mark of the awakened quests... Still have tons of places to go before they are finally over...

Got the prophet to ppawn for the Ancient Desert Heritage quest. One trip around the shrine and pop, there he is! Cake at level 70. Got everything else done for that quest line except killing the Epic. Maybe next weekend.

oh, boy. this weekend was just absolutely awesome. finished Blood of the Brood, and because of that had my first Halls of Fate run (where I managed to pick up the Chestplate of the Doomrage). also managed a couple of PoA groups. dinged all the way up to level 70, and 93 AAs. and rounded out the weekend with an unrest group last night. overall, just an outstanding weekend.

Hrm. Tough call. I'm thinking that the swashy would be the right choice here. Personal satisfaction is greater than 3rd party desirability imo. While dirges are nice, swashies aren't exactly turned down for groups. Great damage and decent utility (track, evac...smuggle is amazing). I don't think you'll have any more trouble getting into groups or raids than you would with most other non-plate tank classes. And since it seems to be more your style/preference anyway...I'd forgo the perception of desirability of the dirge for the person satisfaction of the swashy.

Agreeing with Stug, BT. If you found you really liked the swashie best, go for it. They do kick major butt and are wanted in raids as well for their immense DPS. If geared and played well, Swashies tend to top the parse on DPS. Our GL plays a swashie and hes usually #1-3 on the DPS meter for our raids.

Got my bruiser up to lvl 13. I've also found out that the rather steep prices for adepts have remained, unfortunately. 10 gold for a lvl 10 adept is a bit too much for me!

But so far Neriak is a lot of fun!

I logged on last night to 26p in sales! Three adornments. Ammo wars are still going on the broker, so I filled a couple stock shortages and called it good.

Because of the baby and the need for one of us to always be on duty and not playing Hubby and I haven't played together in forever. So last night we rolled a couple toons for the sole purpose of playing together. We decided it doesn't matter how high they get, as long as those are our duo toons. About all we're allowed do solo is harvest, shop, or craft, lol. We made Evil Lite's in Darklight, and went Necro/Defiler. Yeah, I'm playing a finger wiggler....

First thing we did, of course, is have my main send 'em some plat. We thought about doing it the hard way, starting fresh on a new server,a nd decided with limited time we'd enjoy them more with a little cash in their pockets.

I'm packing for Fan Faire. Anyone else?

Glad I am not the only one who needs to do this... Every time I started from scratch I would end of mailing a few plat their way... it's impossible for me not too...
