Evil Fae are quite nice!Follow

There's something about a Fae Bruiser that just made me want to come back and see what I've missed the last three months or so.

Nice starting zone for the Neriak area, that's for sure!

Yes, Darklight Woods was very well done. Neriak itself is too popular for my tastes (I lag like hell trying to get from one end to the other), but is still good looking.

Funny, my arasai is a bruiser too.

Great minds think alike I always say! Smiley: smile

Mind you, I also have a 70 monk that I betrayed with once, so I know Bruiser is quite fun too, apart from not having invis.

I've only visited Neriak by mistake once so far, I just hit 7 only, haven't played for more than 2 hours as yet. Looked nice, but indeed fairly laggy, even with my beefed up computer (added a gig and upgraded vid card to a speedy 256mb) I can't deal with very high graphics.

Which is odd as Lotro is not a problem. EQII was indeed created way ahead of its time then.

I personally don't like Neriak, in fact I didn't even like that city in Eq1 come to think of it. Just a pain to get around. Darklight woods is a really neat zone though. I love being able to fall with a Fae. I just got the hover racial skill for mine. I had to go to KOS just to jump off the waterfall.

Neriak is a bit odd, that's for sure. I do like it that you get attacked if you stray and wander into a deserted cave for instance, well, deserted except for the vampires that do attack.

The one problem I find with the Darklight starting area would be that there is little armour and weapons offered to beginners. Not a direkt link to any of the teacher npc's either, or I missed it. Not like the starting island, or how it used to be.

Not necessarily a bad thing, it's just that I found myself at lvl 10 still using my lvl 1 weapons.

You get just more gear in Darklight woods, actually. We show Darklight Woods with 208 items, the Outpost with 152 items, and the Queen's Colony with 144 items.

PS - I should add that we've gone over those three zones with a fine-tooth comb recently. Well, I say 'we', but it was mostly Raven :)

There's a lot larger level range in DW though, more quests. It most likely is just an impression of mine, but for instance I had no real full set of armour after doing my initial quests in DW as I did have in the Outpost or the QC.
