Good morning, AllaK's - 7/25/07Follow

Good morning, happy campers.

Didn't get much play in since I was outside doing carpentry work all afternoon (I'm building a clubhouse for my sons as a surprise when they return from their vacation with the grandparents). I logged in for a few minutes for some AA analysis and testing. I've been hate/survivability specc'd for a long time for tanking. I felt like trying to go a new route and DPS/self heal spec. Basically to try better tanking through pain. Offset the hate and aggression loss by ramping up the damage and healing I'm putting out. Additionally this should improve my soloability. After I respecced I went out and toasted a few heroics toe-to-toe without ever having my health leave the green. I'll have to do some more experimenting and maybe some tweaking with the AA setups to get it riiight where I need it to be.

It was funny though...while I was analyzing my stats and AA I had my entire screen filled with skill examine windows and I was writing down numbers and working out averages and percentages and such. At one point I looked up at my screen and thought to myself, "Am I still playing a game here?". My game window looked like a nightmarish spreadsheet of min/maxx'ing hell.

How was your evening?

I started the SOD quest, and just finished killing Lord Ree. First time I had to deal with a 2 hour spawn time, ugh. Tonight is raid night, and still not sure what we'll be working on.

I'm back at it after a few weeks of broker checking and not much more. I've hit a bit of a wall at lvl59 with the Pali. I find myself looking for appropriate level quests that I can solo/mostly solo after having finished most of the LF quests. So it's been slow going, and I am running all over finishing up random quests here and there.

I did finish up Eternal Rivalries for the Marr Diety Quest line. Got my little Lion pet, then I cleaned up the backpacks.

Tonight our group will be assembling for the first time in several months. I'm really looking forward to running around with a group of friends instead of my standard solo MO.
