Question for all of you EQ heads.Follow

#1 Jul 23 2007 at 3:30 PM Rating: Decent
OK,i downloaded the free trial, and after 2 days of running around, i decided to go ahead and buy the game.I actually bought a Digital bundle, which is supposed to include all of the expansions as well.

My question is simple. Will i be able to put small amounts of time into this game
and still enjoy it.I play FFXI full time <mostly>, and that doesn't give me a lot of extra time.I'd hate to get into this game, to find out it is just as big of a time sink.

Thanks in advance. :)

Theres plenty of solo content that can be done in short periods of time. The real fast leveling is usually in groups that go through dungeons but as long as you keep your vitality xp boost up(Play a alt while its building back up for example) soloing can be just as effective if not a tad bit slower at times.

I'm not really looking for just solo.I have no problem grouping and such.I am quite used to it lol.I guess, what i mean is, if i only play 2-3 days a week, will people not want me in a guild, will i be a gimpasaurus in 3 months still?

With FF, im used to needing/giving help for things, and it's more fun that way. There are just so many things in FF, that if your not on much, you get left behind.

I am managing about an hour a day right now (summer's busy and working at 'Zam eats a lot of time too).

My guild doesn't care about your playstyle as long as you do four writs a month. We ask if you're going to be gone a while leave us a note in the guild tool. Some guilds have requirements on logging in, so pick your guild carefully.

Will you be hopelessly behind? Nah. There are always new players coming into the game and folks starting alts and such. The game is really casual friendly.

Everquest 2 is perfect for your play style. I have heard from alot of people Final Fantasy 11 was very Group reliant, however I never actually played it. There are tons and tons of solo quests in eq2. Granted you are not going to get to wear a full set of the best gear in the game simply playing solo, however you can easily progress on up in level without ever having to join a group.

If you choose the Everfrost Server, give me a tell, I invite you into The Obsidian Order. We have all types of players - from folks who just tradeskill to raiders.
