Nope :) There's lots of ways to get around, but no centralized port location like PoK.

As for selling, look for an NPC called the Broker. If you talk to your local innkeeper, they can tell you all the details, including how to access and use the broker. Basically, selling is decentralized (and no having to stare at your feet to walk across the bazaar!

And welcome to Norrath 500 years in the future. I personally find it a much more enjoyable game, and I really liked EQ1 :)

I did the same. Loaded EQ2, launched it, and haven't been back to EQ1 since.

EQ1 has been taken over by the hardcore eat/sleep/live the game type of people. Higher level players don't want to group with you in eq1 unless your their best friend and in their guild because they are scared to death they might die in a pick up group. That was actually my #1 reasonf or leaving the game. Yes Yes certain classes could solo but even so soloing was a painfully slow grind compared to grouping and generally you didn't find too many armor upgrades soloing.

Also expansions have ruined eq1 IMO. Too many crappy expansions with **** poor design/content. Also seemed like if you wasn't willing to devote your life and soul to a guild you couldn't get into any kind of guild that did anything worthwhile (as in raid content). Not being able to solo worth a crap didn't help it for me either

I didn't have too much trouble learning eq2 after playing eq1. Few things to get used to but after that it seems to play simple enough. I like Eq2 alot more then WOW also. I really wanted to like Wow, but it just felt like a watered down EQ1 with a bunch of immature kids playing it. Community in Eq2 is alot better then WOW's as well IMO.

I loved Original EQ also, played it for 6 years, but I agree the constant expansions are what put me off.
