I have the EQ2 Map Addon, that adds all the points of interest etc. I was wondering if there is an addon that is compatible with that one that will get rid of all the black stuff that shows on the map when entering a new and unexplored area. Thanks!
haven't found one yet, but if Im exploring a new place, I tend to alt tab over to http://eq2.gamepressure.com/ and look up the zone Im interested in.

Alt+enter will also put eq into windows mode. You may eventually find the fog to be helpful later on when you are exploring for AA and discovery bonus xp. It helps show where you have and have not been.

No, this is different from the fog...even when I have the no fog box unchecked, this black stuff is there...I think it has soemthing to do with the addon I'm running.
When you are inside a city, there is "Map Fog" which you can turn on or off via the check box on your map.
When you are out in the real world, your map is covered by the "Fog of War" which can only be gotten rid of by exploring the area.
