Lady Vox and Lord Nagafen?Follow

So I admit, I started the games playing Everquest II and I've never played the first. I've just met Nagafen for the first time, and I keep hearing that he and Vox had a relationship.

Anyone want to tell me the story? It sounds interesting! How did Vox die?

The lore surrounding Nagafen and Vox is long and somewhat convoluted. They've both been around longer than mostly any other mortal being on Norrath. They were banished to their respective lairs permanently for attempting to create a new prismatic dragon together (among dragons this is a no-no due to the power and chaotic nature of prismatic dragons). I am not sure if it is specifically declared /what/ killed Vox, but I believe it was several powerful drakota together. Agents of Darathar, another dragon. For me to speculate beyond that would be just guessing.

If you are interested in the lore I suggest you read through LoreLibrary.com. It is an attempt to collect all in-game and official SOE lore about the world of EQ2 and is a wonderful collection to read. Also since you are interested in Nagafen and Vox you may want to check out this thread on the official boards. It contains a lot of information and specific dragon lore.

That's a common theory, but it's still up for debate. Official lore surrounding Kerafyrm simply states that he was the offspring of two opposing colored/elemetal dragons. Vox and Nagafen are never called out specifically as the parents. It is hinted that they were separated because their relationship posed the risk that they would mate and create a second prismatic dragon like The Sleeper, but there is no evidence that directly links them to the creation of the first.

See, certain factions believed that an unchecked Kerafyrm (or any prismatic) would mean the destruction of dragonkind as it was known. Others saw him as a unifying force that would usher in a new era for dragons and that he was a tool of the direct will of Veeshan herself. Nagfen and Vox, in addition to their relationship, seemed to be believers of the latter; further increasing the risk that they would attempt to produce another prismatic. In fact, while many of the dragons on Norrath shouted that they were doomed during a scripted event when The Sleeper was woken, Nagafen and Vox both began shouting to the zone that a glorious new age for Norrath was coming and that they'd both be freed.

-Okay...which one were you? The guy with the stupid oven mitt robe or the chick with the spider fetish?
Don't get a whole lot of visitors these days...But you still all look alike.

As for that old Twunt, Vox, well, let's just see she got the cavern, the egg, and the Maserati, but she didn't get my dragonhood!
I heard she got the axe some time back, but I'm sure she's still creeping around somewhere...the shrew.

Any other questions?

Oh for...

Ugh.
So, you've never done something stupid or went off half cocked on a cause in your younger years.

Gads.

Come on, people, we were KIDS. Kids do stupid things...

So what if it didn't work out the way we wanted it to. Sure was a hell of a party that night.
