Anybody know if there is a way to change the encounter music? I just got the strange urge to have "Eiffle 65 - Move your body" play whenever I get an aggro.

Yup. Inside the EQ2 folder is a folder called \Music. Inside that folder is the music that you hear in-game. What you want to do is create a new folder in your EQ2 directory call Custom_Music. Inside that you want to create directory structures that mimic the regular \Music directory. Place the MP3 you want for combat in the appropriate sub-directory and name it the proper combat music file name (case sensitive). I don't remember the exact file name off the top of my head..I can post this with more detail when I get home tonight. But that's essentially it.

Hot Damn! Thanks Stu! Now if there was only a way to customize it even further but having different encounters play different music (i.e. different tunes for non-heroic, heroic, named, and epic battles). $10 says I'll be bored with my choice of music by the end of the night.

Yeah, unfortunately it is static. You can use the same process to change the various zone musics too though. Get your variety on by having different songs to represent the different zones.
