I re-fired my EQ2 subscription after a 7 month hiatus. So my lvl 70 Wood elf Assassin Bhodisattva Tathagatha is back in action and ready to roar. I have cleaned up my AA lines, organized my bank and house, dusted off my relic gear and gotten used to the game again.

I do find that I am lacking money. So I need to farm, I have no clue where/what to farm. If crafting, 5 man lewt, questing, or just plain farming is the best way. I also need a list of things I should be doing in EoF group-wise. Run down on Neriak, Unrest, anything new. Stuff I should be looking to complete in order to be raid ready again and to experience EoF.

Cash generation really hasn't changed. Your best bet for "quick" income is still to farm for rare harvests that you don't need and sell them, or run instances and hope to score legendary loot or master spells that you don't need.

Neriak is...well it's Neriak. It's a city like any other. One single zone with it's own 1-20 n00b zone (Darklight woods). Nothing terribly special, though you can mentor down to 10 and get AA for some of the quests if you want to check it out.

Unrest is ridiculous amounts of fun. To tell you anything more would ruin the surprises for you the first time you play through it. It's more difficult than your average instance, but it is probably one of the most well-scripted and funnest zones to run since Nektropos was fresh. Lots of great loot from there too. I highly suggest you do Unrest often.

Crypt of Valdoon and Obelisk of Blight are the other two big instances for L70's in EoF. Good fun.

personally, I think youll be better off farming KoS instance zones for money. A lot of the EoF instance zones will drop class gear, and most/all of the instance zones will drop no trade items. Granted they do have other items that can offer some cash, but again, youll find better trading gear either in KoS instance zones, or higher zone tradable stuff like Mistmoore Cats.

The guild Bhod and I are in has reformed, after realizing that VG was not what they wanted and they missed the gang. I must say, it's good to be back!

Now if I can only remember what all these buttons do

Bhod, a great way of making cash Ive found is to farm harpies in Pillars of Flame. It can get redundant, but fastest way I have found.

Also, just going out to group the other night, starting the Mithanial Marr cloak quest and gathering shinys along the way, I've made over 2pp. And I've really barely been on. So check the broker, play around and the cash should flow easily enough. Just dont do what I did and buy yourself a formal guild outfit. Although I do look sexay hawt in it.

I've been thinking of a way to farm, because i'd like to get a mount. But i think im going to have to wait until im a bit higher level. Since im 32 now, theres not that much i think i can go farm.

Something to remember is the new secondary tradeskill, transmuting. Not sure if it had been introduced before you left, Bodhi.

This works for all levels, all Tiers. Because of transmuting, which makes the components for Adornments, all those Adept 1's and Treasured stuff we used to vendor dump has value. Transmuters turn them into components. Suddenly the market flooding is less and you can sell thet "trash" for much more than dumping to a vendor.

From The Transmuting FAQ:

What can be transmuted?

* treasured gear
* adept 1 and better spell scrolls
* legendary gear
* fabled gear
* master crafted gear (note – crafted item quality is irrelevant)

What cannot be transmuted?

* no-value items
* items without an equipable level
* Apprentice level spells
* recipe scrolls
* handcrafted items
* furniture
* consumables
* containers
* anything stackable
* Heritage Quest items
* mounts
* things which need mending
* there are still some odd quest rewards which do not Transmute.

one way I make cash is to farm every shiny you see. Shinys= ? on the ground. Just putzing around, and in lower level places too, I've collected three rares that can range from 50g-2pp. I still have one more to sell. It's so easy, and takes mere seconds.

Welcome Back Bodhi! Missed your presence on the forums.

For hoops and giggles start a newb in Neriak. The whole Darklight Woods Neriak timeline is a hoot.

cheers,
CF

Raided some t6 content last night, Courts and the one with Malkonis D'Morte. Made 4 AA and the guild got a level. Lots of alts got uber gear as well. The important part was that I managed to get my UI cleaned up. Lord it was a mess, I had already cleaned up my hotbars but raid windows and everything else were all over the place and really bugging me since I need to see what is happening or else I get all flustered.

I visited Neriak and will probably end up moving there, just wanted to make sure I had easy access to a)a bank b)broker c)kos d)eof.

Thanks for the transmute Calthine, I'd rate you up if I could Smiley: wink.

I have found that the high demand for collectibles is still going strong. The highest value bones and such are weathered and cracked. These are the items typically found in t2 and t3 since no one seems to want to take the time to collect these items.

Also, I would farm the KoS zones as stated above. Masters, legendary, and fabled are still in high demand since there wasn't a level increase with the last expansion.

I can't say to much about EoF. I haven't really focused time in those zones since I don't really raid.

Dunno about farming, but there is "lots" of solo content in EoF.
