I am trying to download eq2 maps to my EQ2 UI interface and I can't seem to do that. In addition, I have downloaded some files and win zip won't open them up. I was told by Sony that this is a Vista issue and not a game issue,which seems to be the case since I was able to achieve this on my other computer with windows. I HATE VISTA.
Even worse, I download eq2maps to a premade folder in Everquest II/UI/myfile and can't see the downloaded folder. The file noted that the folder is empty.
Does anyone have a way around these problems? I should note that I am the only user on the computer.

I am running Windows Vista and have EQ2Maps installed without a problem. Could you be more specific about the installation issue?
If you are downloading the auto install version of EQ2Map (which you should) make sure you right click the EQ2MAP-Updater-1.0.6-Setup.exe file and choose Run as Administrator.
As for WinZip not opening files... it isn't a Vista issue. The blanket excuse for anything not working on a computer now is "Vista doesn't run it". I made the switch to Vista at launch and I haven't regretted it once since.
