Hi, I am a real newbie to EQ2, although I was spoiled by WOW. I have a few questions about the SK.

1.I was wondering how well a SK can solo and take on two mobs at once when compared to a necro?

2.Is a SK a reasonably good soloer at the upper levels?

3.Also what is considered the best race for a SK?

4. Finally, what trade skills would you recommend for a SK: heavy armor, potions ( for poisons), scribing, weaponsmith etc.?

Thanks

I would geuss the Shadow Knight would be able to handle multiple mobs a little better. Simply because they can take more hits. However the Necromancer has the ability to fear one mob while dealing with the other. When it comes down to it, the Necromancer will be the better soloer IMO.

At level 70, I am able to solo level 66-68^^^ Heroic mobs. Some classes cant. However, gear and player ability will play a large part on this as well. I woudl say that yes, they are pretty good soloers at higher levels.

Race will ultimately play a very little part in your end game abilities. The orge, and troll have slightly better starting stats for tanking. Where the Erudite, Dark Elf, and Ratonga may have better stats for spell casting. The Human, Barbarian, Karren, and Iksar are normally considered middle of the road on starting stats.

I would say that an Alchemist would be the best for a Shadow Knight. Youll be able to make cool potions and such, but also be able to make your own Adept 3 abilities. that will help a ton in the long run.
