Good morning, AllaK's - 7/2/07Follow

Good morning, happy campers.

Happy July, everybody. 10 days until Stugein's birthday. Get crackin' on those gift ideas, people.

This weekend I completed (mostly) the Knights in the Round Grand Tour of Norrath (tm). I found 49 of 50 statuettes. The 50th is the one in the dining room in Unrest. I've parked my butt right at the entrance to Unrest so that I'll already be there and ready to rip into it next time I have a few hours to spend at a stretch. Man this quest has been a pain in the ***. it feels good to almost have it complete.

Ran Acadchechism (sp?) for the statuette. Everything was smooth until our necro lost his mind and pulled D'vinn (and D'Vinn's entire room) before anyone was ready, getting himself and another caster killed almost immediately. After we recovered from that we dropped him with no problem.

Ran through the Obelisk of Blight and finally got my grubby little hands on a Signet of Light from Darkness. I love this freaking ring. Soooooo good.

Helped some fellow smash Webclaw since I was in the area while retrieving the Permafrost statuette. I mentored down for the kill and he dropped a nice big master chest with a L46 warden master in it. I was going to decline but the fellow told me to keep it since I stopped to help him. Then another person entered the zone and needed help getting to the Druzaic shrine for the word of magic quest. I mentored down to help them and one of the random solo trash goblins on the ice floes out there dropped a master chest with a L46 'zerker spell. I was beginning to think that I was being led into some sort of crazy trap. In any case, those should trade well for spells for my lowbie alts.

Played some more Resident Evil 4 Wii edition. Made it up to the church and am now searching for a way to unlock it. Apparently the key is on the other side of some lake...

How was your weekend?

Played a ton over the weekend since the wife and babygirl were out of town. Put 2 levels on my Mystic and got him to 62. New Xego armor and hammer. I'm loving him as a battle priest. Was getting burned out healing, so I switched gears to my Dirge and got him to 65. It's nice to play a support class once in a while. Low stress since you aren't healing or tanking and no one really cares what you end up parsing.

Question for the class...can anyone recommend a custom UI for healers? I heard Prophit (sp?) was a good one. It apparently shows how many points are left on a ward (instead of trying to keep your mouse pointer on the display!)

Good question. I personally use ThorUI for all of my toons. It doesn't show point remainders on wards by default, but it does show all of the timers on your DoTs and Wards. I generally just time my next ward cast by that and don't have much issue. The other bonus is that ThorUI has it's own patcher/auto-installer/updater for whenever changes need to be made. Now, whereas ThorUI is fairly simple and utilitarian, ProphetUI is the be-all of stat UI's. It tells you everything. It's a very busy UI but great for folk who want to squeeze every nugget of info out of the game. Excellent, if busy.
