Hey all! I just started playing EQ2 last week and I'm completely hooked to my Assassin. Last night me and my new guild went out grouping somewhere (can't really remember where, everything is so new!) and when it was my bedtime I told my group that I would be leaving soon.

The tank responded with: "no worries, it's only an Assassin :)". Now I didn't snap or anything but I did feel kinda dumbed down. I can understand of there being a big amount of DPS classes around but still, is Assassin that much frowned upon?

So on my server DPS classes are a dime a dozen. So he may have been hinting towards it not being to difficult to find a replacement. however, being a tank my self, I almost always look for an assassin to group with based on great DPS, and agro transfer.

I have an assassin myself, and have been able to make and break a group with my abilities. Ive ran a high 40s low 50s group into the cliffs to the second level for named farming just because I made up about 75% of the groups DPS.

At that time I was averaging about 300-450 DPS on parse a fight at level 53.
