There are, however, items which raise your primary skill which can help (insight gives +25 to your artisan skill). The Fallen Dynasty adventure pack has quests for tradeskillers over level 50 that gives a +skill item, and the Apron of the Artificier comes to mind. The Final reward in the Seeking a Profession series gives a tunic with +1 to all artisan skills.
