Good morning, happy campers.
No game update today. I spent most of yesterday on an airplane home from a business trip to Seattle. Philly to Seattle and back to Philly again in 24 hours is tiring. I got home and promptly hit the sack.
As always, in lieu of an in-game update I have a discussion question for the class: What one other class' class-defining ability are you most jealous of that you wish your main character had, but doesn't? Are you a berserker who wished he could evac? Does your inquisitor wish he could charm an enemy combatant? Are you a pally who wishes that she could feign death?
For me personally the answer would have to be a scout's tracking. Shadowknights are pretty versatile when it comes to utility and varied skills. We can self heal, toss up reactives, stat siphon, evac, feign death, and more. But when I'm tooling around on my alts, the one toon that I am most jealous of is my assassin and that is because of tracking. More than any other ability in the game, when I am playing on my SK I most frequently find myself going, "Damnit, I wish I could track". How about you?

Level 70 Pally here.
Feign Death is not really that important to me since the death penalties are negligible. The only reason I would want that particular spell would be to avoid increasing repair costs on fabled stuff.
Tracking would be a nice skill to have. However, I have never really played a character in eq1 or eq2 that had the ability to track. Therefore I guess I don't really know what I am missing....
Same with Evac. Nice skill but never had a toon capable of this ability.
Since I am focusing mostly on harvesting and crafting right now the most important "extra" skill would be the ability to port easily around the different zones and areas. That would help me save tons of time running around the different zones harvesting stuff for my alts...

This one is easy for me and my wizzy. I want to be able to put TC (time compression) on myself. A very far fetched dream since TC not only isn't a wizzy buff but can't even be cast on the caster... but you asked.

As a solo Pali...solo anything really...the ability I would love to have is invis. I find myself buying totems by the gross, so that I can easily get around without having to fight every last mob on the trail. The problem is carrying all those those totems, and then making sure to stock up BEFORE going out on a run. It's an ease of play option for me, nothing more.
I echo the calls for porting and tracking, both would be welcomed additions to my skills. But then it would be great if my Dirge could wear plate, and my Conj(lowbie still) could carry more than his lunch and a few quest items...The grass is always greener on the other side of the street.

The ability to create portals like wardens. Evac would be nice, but getting where I want to be quickly beats the pants off anything else.
