2-Which expansion is a must get and that everybody has?

1 - A coercer would be the closest in ability, but not the closest in spirit. Coercers are mentalists that use mind-control and charm abilities to take control of NPCs. Not really a nature/hunter/tamer themed class. Some of the scout classes can get pets of varying quality, but they aren't control based classes.

2 - For the /most/ part you don't really *need* any expansion until you are 50+, though Echoes of Faydwer can be very nice pre-50. You will want that and Kingdom of Sky for the AA alone, even if you never visit the zones. Your best bet is to go find a retail boxed copy of Echoes of Faydwer (Target, Best Buy, Gamestop, etc.). It's ~$40 and comes with the base game and all 3 major expansions in one pack, so it's definitely the most cost-effective method of getting the game as opposed to buying the expansions individually down the road.

Mature.

EQ2 does have its random tards on each server that bring up random things, but because of the difficulty of the game and the ability to group, it attracks a much more mature group of palyers.

I ony statement.

"We dont have Barrens Chat."

thats really all that matters to me.

1-Is the game easy like WoW or hard like FFXI?

2-At what level do you get mounts?

EQ2 is harder than WoW but easier than FFXI. Never played FFXI but I gather some jobs are brutal and it's very camp/grind oriented. EQ2 is really a blended version of most MMOGS - here are a couple points:

The GUI is simple and efficient.

Craft your own gear and wear it - it's pretty darn good even at low levels.

Horses can be purchased at level 1 - money is the only req.

Carpet quest at L40.

Warg quest at L55.

Hover platform - not sure about the requirements.

Well if you like having a pet you can control, conjurer or necromancer is good.

But you don't tame animals you just have a command which summons a pet.

Well firstly, don't go for the coercer if you are wanting pet control.

They get a charm that is only temporarily and has a chance to break constantly. While it is fun to take control of various mobs in the game, it's also dangerous. If you choose Coercer be prepared to die a lot.

Coercers are mainly a crowd control/mana regen class. If you want a pet, I would suggest either the summoner-types such as Necromancer/Conjurer or even an Illusionist.

1 quick fix, and couple additions.

first, the carpet quest is level 47, not level 40. don't like to see wrong information get out. but close enough for government work.

second, for the hover platform...there are a couple different varieties. there is one that is a mob drop off a gnome in Deathtoll (T7 raid zone in Kingdom of Sky expansion pack). then there are 2 (that I'm aware of) tinkerer crafted hovering platforms. I'm just not sure what the requirements are on those.
