Yet another returning to EQ2 threadFollow

After leaving EQ2 in the beginning of 2006 I have played Wow, and both Lineage, and to my surprise found them inferior to EQ2.

Neither had the playability, quality of lore, or maturity that i was seeking, and because of that i am here, but before diving back into the world of Norrath i have a few questions.

1) When i left in January of '06, at the time i had a conjuror, have they yet implemented the option to betray at any level, and if so would my class switch to necromancer (oh please make it so)?

2)Ive read in other threads that they have made impressive improvements to the game, without naming all, what are they?

3) And lastly, with the release of KoS and EoF has the endgame improved at all? I was not pleased at all with DoF, because of the amounts of pointless quests that you were required to perform to gain favor of one of the factions.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

You can betray at any level starting at, I believe, 10. Betrayal still changes your class to it's opposite-aligned counterpart and resets al of your spells and skills to Apprentice I quality. If you plan on betraying your conjuror, please let me direct you to the guide in my signature (was actually written with a conjuror as the test subject).

Oh geez...hrm. Several new mounts and mount-types. Combat changes. Removal of class archetype progression (you pick your final class from the outset now). Two new secondary tradeskill classes. Several new HQs. AA. Cloaks. You know what...just click here. The stickied threads at the top of that forum list all of the update/patch notes for every update. if you left in January of '06 you'll probably want to start reading at Update #19 or 20.

The heavy factioning was pretty much limited to Desert of Flames and Maj`Dul specifically. Similar mechanics don't manfiest themselves in Kingdom of Sky or Echoes. As for end-game content...Kingdom of Sky is almost exclusively the domain of the 55-70 crowd. Several new raid zones and high level single-group instanced zones. EoF brought in a wide range of content for all levels, upper end included. Both brought in more instances, more heritage quests, and each had it's own unique set of AA structures which give you advancement and customization options beyond mere levelling.
