I've tried to search for this subject but can't find anything. When you relinquish your house do you get ANY of the price back? I want to upgrade to a 4 slot, but need to know if I'm going to get any of the $$ back when I relinquish my old house. Also, a status question. When it states that you need 120,000 status and it cost x status a week. What happens if for some reason your status drops below 120,000?

Sorry for the newbie type questions...

First of all, never be sorry for asking a "newbie" question. We were all there before and even we still have questions.

Second, are you referring to your escrow account or the initial price of the home you purchased?

Third, if you are unable to pay the status portion of the rent, I am pretty sure you will be unable to enter the premises until you do. Thankfully, there are player made, quested and status items that will reduce the amount of status points needed per week.

Fourth, I would recommend waiting to move until GU35. There is going to be an option with the update at the end of this month that is going to make moving a whole lot easier. Someone who plays on test can probably give you a bit more information regarding this update than I.

The 120,000 status is an initial purchase price. You don't have to keep that much status "banked" to keep your home. As for the xx status rent, just like the cash rent, if you can't pay they lock you out until you can. Your stuff is still there :)

I am referring to the original cost of the house.

I know that the system will not allow me to purchase the house if I don't have enough status. I'll ask my question by using an example. Let's say you have 125,000 status and the house you want to purchase requires 120,000 and 4,000 weekly. Let's say I don't get enough furniture made to offsite the the entire 4,000 per week and after 4 or 5 weeks my status drops below 120,000. Do I now get kicked out? That was my question.

I read about that new "move update" and thought it was already in. I will definitely wait until it's in. I don't have enough alts to carry all my crap... :)

The 120,000 status is initial payment only. From then on, you are just responsible for the weekly status requirements. Even if you can't pay the weekly amounts, you will not be kicked out. You will just be denied access to enter your home.

I've got it now, thanks.

As far as getting back the inital cost of your 1st house, does anyone know about that one?

Ok, I think I can rephrase my remaining questions to be more understandable.

I currently own a 3 slot house in SQ that is NOT status driven. I want to upgrade to a 4 slot house that is status driven.

1. Will I get my original $$ back when I relinquish my 3 slot house?

2. The 4 slot house requires 120,000 status, will that be permanently deducted from my status or do I just NEED 120,000 status points?

1. I don't believe you get any money back, but do not quote me on that.

2. Essentially, you are asking the same question even if you don't know it. You do NEED 120,000 status points and 120,000 status points WILL be deducted from your personal status. The word that is throwing me off is "permanent." What exactly do you mean by that? Status can be gained in numerous ways ad infinitum. You can have a million status points, spend them all in 10 minutes and be back to a million in a few weeks time, effectively replenishing your "lost" status points. Does that make things a little clearer?

Basically, this is what is going to happen when you buy the house: 120,000 status points and however much money is required will immediately be deducted from your personal status and pocket. You can purchase the house with 120,001 status points and be completely fine. When the rent comes do well...that's a different story.

Hope that cleared things up for you.
