ok well like the subject says i used to play FFXI really loved the game but between the econemy and SE the game got dull and boring, was wondering if EQ2 would be fun to play, im DLn the trial right. I was also wondering if there are like gods or w/o to kill on here like to where you would have to team up with a clan and stuff to be able to win. and the last question what is a good class? im looking for something that can solo pretty well but will be needed in groups and endgame stuff, was thinking necro
Yeah I had the same problem got sick of playing the game, hated partying and waiting around forever. So am playing EQ2 and love it, it's heaps better than FFXI. Can create a character and is much deeper and is creation unlike FFXI which dare to call it create, more like choose a head.
Iam enjoying the game and pretty much any class can solo, but some better than others, just choose what ever class appeals to you most.
Haven't been playing long, but this game isn't FFXI and I don't think theres endgame?? As they always seem to release new expansions and content.

I also left FFXI because of the economy and that you have to have certain equipment to be all0owed in basic level up groups. like a lot about FFXI but left it about 2 years ago seem it has not improved. But EQ2 seems like a fun game with a pretty good community compered to others game i played. Good luck and hope you stay.
umm just puttin in my two cents.. ffxi has improved by the way.. of course how would you know this you quit 2 years ago.. I play eq2 i like the game its great but people like pelacha with his biased one sided opinion need to be avoided.. anywho eq2 is fun and refreshing i play both tho and still love ffxi....
Dude, your putting a guy down on the EQ2 forum that was speaking bad of a competing game. Did you expect anything other then a biased response form the majority of people here.
Most people don't believe half the stuff said about other games anyways. At least I don't and i consider at least half of people on internet to have at least my intelligence level :), I might of just insulted myself there tho....

My necro is not very high leveled yet but she can solo fairly well. The pet can tank while you nuke away with life tap and drain it with damage over time spells. A necro probably would be a good first class IMO. The pet controls are easy to figure out and can take anything in starting area easily while you learn. Just beware the health cost of some items you make and some of your spells, mainly the pet heals.

umm you just totally made no sense whatsoever.. so basically your calling yourself shallow, and a EQ fanboy?? nice one so hey lets not spread our horizon not look into games that are good just stick to one game and bash the others.. Look at it like videogame systems all the sony fanboys xbox fanboys can just shut up and should enjoy the variety all the systems bring.. just like the other MMOS enjoy what they have look at the positive its always better than being biased bro..

im just saying one thing about the classes i only just started again and am lvl 27 already ive done this because im a healer (priest) eg warden, fury
most of the groups are always looking for healers so they wont die and this way you get exp for healing the tankers its a pretty good way of lvling and also when ur group have killed a monster and something drops then u have got a chance of winning it in a lotto loot
lets just say EQ2 is alot better than FFXI
