Root spellFollow

I have been told by several players that as a level 42 wizrd I should have a root spell which enables you to immobilise monsters. Apprently I should have got this around levels 1-15. I have been through all of my spells and do not have such a spell. HELP!

The low level one is Arcane Bindings. Has an icon of a foot with a shackle on it. I've never gotten a wizzie out of T2, but I'm sure you got an upgrade or two to it too!

Those root spells are a godsend to us cloth wearers... keep the mob at bay so they don't beat up on you!

Which brings up a good point: How on earth did you achieve level 42 as a wizard without utilizing your root? You must have been killed more times than I care to count.

Or he has regular hunting pals/groups almost exclusively.

Ok. There is that, but how do you go through 42 levels without learning your class? That boggles my mind. Oh well.

Not to excuse it, but you miss things sometimes. For example, just a few weeks ago I found out that I had been tanking with one of my old defensive stances because I was unaware that it got upgraded. I just didn't notice. I mean, I was almost too awesome for the server to handle before...now, well...let's just say it's critical awesome overload.

Actually, one of my biggest failings early on was upgrading my spells... used to run around with old gear and even older spells... just never really crossed my mind. It wasn't until I started raiding and saw all the DPS going out that I suddenly realized what I was missing.

No worse than someone with two level 70 crafters not knowing you get new Arts every Tier or that you can hit the Arts when there's nothing to counter. That's happened on the forums more than once.

It's an involved game *shrug*

Actually I have not died that much surprisingly. I have been in a lot of groups so maybe that is why.
