wizard or warlockFollow

Hello

I am thinking of starting to play EQ2 (instead of WoW i've played since the release 02/11 2005), but im not sure if I'm going to make a wizard or a warlock. I would like a class that is good to start with, to get to know the game and earn much money with (since it seems to be a big part of the game).
I'm a EQ virgin and havn't even bought the game yet. I've read about the classes I was most intrested in and decided to make a wizard or a warlock.
Now to the point:
Can someone tell me about these classes compared to eachother?
ex: solo gaming, their roles while playing in a group, if they are popular in groups?, difficulty of the class, fun / boring (your oppinion) and other things that may be important to know while making this choice.

Thanks in advance!

well... the basic difference is wiz is elemental (heat/cold) base. war is disease/poison. after that; you got six character slots - go for it.

wizards do huge single target dmg and decent aoe's
Warlocks do huge group encounter dmg and decent single target.

The end

Warlock Masters are typically WAY less expensive than Wizard. However Warlock and enchanter classes do not mix well, as your most effective spells will break their mez.

they are both realy good. I like my wizzy alot and would never go to warlock. but its always good to have one because they are great for those encounters where you have to take out adds fast.
