Purple Screen in EQ2 :: Free Realms

Every time i log into eq2 it goes to a purple screen and i cant do anything about it...the screen isnt full screen but i cant click to full screen it because everything is purple...Please somebody help me find a solution to this and thank you.

well, let's try a few basic things...
1) have you tried restarting your computer?
2) how does everything else look? ie: windows desktop, web browser, etc... do THEY have the purple thing going?
3) have you updated your video drivers? (I usually don't have color problems, I just suddenly crash when zoning, that's when I know I need to check 'em LOL)
4) this is just reaching and I don't really think it'll help, but who knows... defrag?

short of that, I would suggest a remove/reinstall, but I'm not SOE support. LOL

Could you give us the details of your system?

CPU speed
amount of system ram
vid card make, model & amt of vid ram
hard drive size and available room
connection type (cable modem, dsl or modem)
any other details you might have like firewall, router model... that sort of thing

This will give us a starting point and tell us if your system can handle EQ2 or not...

Have you tried to reinstall the starter files? That's what I do when something goes glitchy on me and nothing seems to work.
