Heroic OpportunityFollow

Hey all, I just switched over from EQ1 to EQ2 and I am trying to get this all straight. Could one of you please give me a little insight to the Herioc Opportunity? I am playing a Level 28 Swashbuckler atm, do i need to constantly hit the Heroic Opportunity button or does it last of X amount of time. Plus what is it actually doing? I see that i have two different things that show up one is Ringing Blow and I forget the name of the other one. Any advice would be appriciated.

Oh on a side not since i have you here. Is there an easy way or a good place to try to raise Safe Fall? I know in EQ1 we used to just bounce down a hill, but here you cant. I am trying to find a good place to actually work on it.

Thanks in advance for the info and help.

TTH Heroic Opportunity Guide

As for safe fall, there is no fast way to do it, really. It's even more of a pain now that they've increased the falling distance before damage accumulates. Your best bet is to just repeatedly jump off a griffon tower for a couple of house. :/

There's a guide here. (Or you can use the TTH one, lol! The one I linked will give you a decent idea of what you're working with. I suggest both :) * bonks Stugein for beating her to it *)

Basically, no you don't have to keep hitting the HO starter. You click it once to start the HO. Use the appropriate spell/combat art to progress it, and then another to complete it (if you're doing them all on your own).

They aren't horribly complicated, but do require a little bit of practice to get used to. The icons you need to use for progression usually blink.

I don't have safe fall, but I think you can try N'Marr's Ascent in Nek Forest. Don't start at the top til you've raised it a little, though!!

Yes, all you need to do is...

1. Activate your Heroic Opportunity

2. Hit the flashing starter button (usually a combat, damage-dealing spell)

3. Hit the 2nd flashing button (swashbucklers usually use an enemy maiming attack like cripple or whatever [dont remember names])

Usually when i am grinding (berzerker) i use HO every time, sometimes 2 or 3 times per battle depending on the # of monters im fighting. All you need to think about is as soon as you activate the HO by hitting the hotkey, that you have 10 seconds to activate the "wheel" and then you have 10 more seconds to hit the last finishing blowl. There are 3 kinds of finishes, which are completely random, ones that do much more damage than average, or just average. And usually you hit all the targets with the finishing blow.

Good Luck
