as for adornments

earings can get +14int ones. rings can get +50mana ones. Wrist can get +14int ones. symbols can get +heat/cold spell damage. Your weapon can get a mana/deaggro proc - and can also get a +1% increase to crit chance. Head slot can get +100 mana. Neck and hand peices can get +25 spell damage. Those seem to be the most important ones that i can think of off the top of my head.

For a nonraiding wizard some of the best gear you can get comes from Mistmoore Castle, Unrest, Mistmoore Catacombs and Nizara...also the broker :P

The best damage robe that can be acquired is Pani's robe from Castle Mistmoore, for symbols I'd have to say the Novum Tectum from the sage in the castle and the shoulders from the thaumaturge. Having at least 3 of the legendary set pieces from CoV, Kaladim, Obelisk of Blight, and Unrest would do you well also. There's also an epic x2 (Veingore) in the catacombs that can be one grouped with no problems, he drops an earring which gives a damage mod. The wand of plasma from Unrest and Garanel's caster cloak should about round out your wizard. Also, the mystical orb of the invoker from collection quests is an earring which should never be replaced and the bone clasped girdle HQ can be done by anyone now with the new crafting option of having a high level crafter make the box for you. Add an imbued moonstone ring of intelligence and the light from darkness ring in OOB and you should be all set.

The reason behind having the light from darkness ring, yes I know it only procs when you're hit, it procs frequently and if your group is getting alot of ae's or you're standing closer to the mob and he barrages that ring will proc giving you more dps and a free heal.

If by chance power replenishment during fights is a problem for you, the best power regen item in game is the gown of glory from the nest instance.
